Loma A. Whitehead Obituary (1933

Loma A. Whitehead, 90, passed away on December 25, 2023 at Cottage of the Shoals in Tuscumbia, Alabama. She is originally from Niles, Michigan where she was born on September 24, 1933 to Otis and Minnie Marks Conrad. Loma worked as a nurse and loved her job. Loma is survived by her daughter, Deborah Best (Kim); sons, Alvin Whitehead and Paul Whitehead (Carma); daughter in law, Beverly Whitehead Brule; grandchildren Elizabeth, Olivia, Vatina, Lena, Alvina, Tia, Joshua, Brent, Darick (Alishah), Shelli, Joshua Paul, and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Whitehead; parents, Ottis and Minnie Conrad; sons, Christopher Whitehead, Michael Whitehead; sisters, Leona Wadsworth, LaVon Pinkston, Constance Sznanski, Nina Ojan, Catherine Conrad, Eileen Wood; brothers, Leon Conrad, Ottis Conrad Jr., Paul Conrad. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Burial will at the Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles, Michigan. Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
