Lera Ociene (Bottoms) Knight Obituary (1932

Lera Ociene Bottoms Knight, passed away November, 13, 2023 at her residence in Phil Campbell, Alabama. She was born in Red Bay, Alabama at Freedom Hills. She worked at Wrangler Manufacturing Company in Hackleburg, Alabama as a supervisor. She is survived by her three children, Roger Knight, Ronnie Knight (Sandy), April Knight (Steve) and Margaret Knight Keeton (Darryl); brother, Andy Bottoms; sisters, Jean Hastings, Judy Bullen; grandchildren, Rodney Knight (Carla), Jeremy Keeton (Christy), Leanne Beasley (Casey), Austin Knight (Kaylie); great-grandchildren, Justin Knight (Brooke), Olivia Hardy (Joe), Lauren Keeton, Casen Keeton, Makenna Keeton, Linley Beasley; one great-great grandchild, Henry Doc Hardy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Knight; her father, Carnie Bottoms; mother, Ethel Morrow Bottoms; Daughter-in-law, Linda Knight, brothers, Paul Bottoms, Bill Bottoms; and sister Shirley Prestage. Services will be held November 16, 2023 at Antioch Baptist Church located at the intersection of 172 and 237 below Phil Campbell with visitation from 10: a.m. until 12 p.m. Funeral will begin at 12:00 p.m. Brothers, Jerry Hester and Ronnie Marbutt will be officiating the service. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rodney Knight, Jeremy Keeton, Justin Knight, Austin Knight, Casey Beasley, and Steve Cleghorn. The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to Tabitha, Jamie and Julia for the exceptional care provided to their mother and grandmother. Akins Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
