Mary Edna Jennings Wilson

Mary Edna Jennings Wilson, age 91 of Russellville, Alabama passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at her residence.

She was a member of Southside Baptist Church for many years where she was very active in all of her church work.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, Hackleburg, Alabama.  Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the Church with Bro. Sam Morgan and Bro. Todd Burkhalter officiating.   Burial is at Pleasant Grove Cemetery on Munsingwear Road, Hamilton, Alabama.

She is preceded in death by her husbands Harvey Lee Jennings and Johnny M. Wilson; parents, Albert Burkhalter and Flora Goodman Burkhalter; son, Harvey LeRoy Jennings; sisters, Faye Karr, Bobbie Bircheat, Jerry Gray, Katie McQuarry; grandchildren, Paul Jennings, Danny Jennings, Christie  Jennings.

She is survived by her son, David Jennings (Janet); daughter, Peggy Vernon; son, Jimmy Wilson (Shirley), Johnnie H.  Wilson (Donna); brothers, Ganus Burkhalter, Truman Burkhalter (Bonnie). Grandchildren, Crystal, Brandon and J.J.; 10 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mike McQuaray, Steve Vanzile, Jeff Gray, Barry Jennings, Brandon Jennings and Johnathan Jennings.
